For 176 years, Christ Episcopal Church has been a spiritual icon in the northeast corner of the state, in the city of Warren, Ohio. She has had three homes; the first two being in the area of the courthouse square downtown and the present building which took nine years to build. The world re-nowned architect, Harold Wagoner designed the complex which sits on 12 acres of land. Bishop John H. Burt said of the completed church: " You have achieved in contemporary form as exciting a church as I have seen done anywhere. It is reverent, gives a sense of beauty that inhibits any sense of severity ." The imposing structure on Atlantic Street, NE has been an inspiration to the many people who have entered her doors to seek spiritual refreshment as well as worship in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. A warm welcome awaits you here no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. All are welcome in this church. From the time you enter the Narthex and gaze up above the Baptisimal Font to the soaring South Stained-Glass Tower and then enter the massive Nave, you will feel the presence of God. The glorious Casavant-Freres pipe organ above the Choir Loft and it's 61 horizontal copper Royale Trompette en-chemade pipes reaching eight feet into the entrance to the Nave , lifts the spirit as well as thunders praise to the Almighty Trinity. Here you will find 15 inch thick stone walls, soaring stained-glass windows, but more importantly you will find spiritual refreshment, comfort for the soul, and church members who will warmly welcome you.
