On Saturday June 17, 2017, the church and grounds transform into a realm long since past. Welcome to RivenVale and behold the sights and sounds of the Middle Ages! Watch with our King and Queen's Court as knights battle, mounted horsemen ride, archers' arrows soar, catapults attack, and revelers dance in celebration. Visitors can try their skills in archery, thrown weapons, and dancing events. The ear is filled with sounds of bagpipers and festive medieval music while the belly is filled with turkey legs, "Dragon's Tails", "Boar's Tails", kettle corn and more.

Children will enjoy the Kid's Kingdom castle bounce house and train to be a brave Knight. The King & Queen, and their Court, will host special ceremonies throughout the day where every child will be given a Royal Title for valor. Everyone can meet the King's Horsemen and admire their beautiful steeds. Free admission given to all children who dress in their favorite medieval themed attire (i.e. prince/ princess, fairies, pirates etc.).

Other events and attractions for Saturday include: shopping at our artisan market, the Rogues of Rafferty perform, blacksmithing, parade, organ recital, Persian belly dancers, Bagpiper Troupe, fire eater, pictures with the Royals, and much more!

The Festival concludes on Sunday starting with a Medieval Mass on Sunday in the Main Church. Expect old English liturgy from our Anglican roots and choral music from the times. Sunday afternoon continues with more medieval events.

This event would not be possible without the support and dedication of the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) which holds meetings at Christ Church every Tuesday at 6pm. For more information on the SCA or to become a member please visit their website
