FOR OUR YOUTH
The Youth! of Christ Church are a growing and essential part of our parish life. Children of all ages are warmly welcomed and engaged by our trained and energetic youth leaders. It is our common responsibility to raise our children up to know Christ and understand the Good News. We strive to instill a foundation of Christian values, educate in the Word, and provide a dynamic experience in faith.
Our children are joined with youth from area Episcopal churches and other denominations by a project known as the Southeast Mission Area (SEMA). Reaching from Warren to East Liverpool, SEMA Youth! (from fifth grade to high school) meet twice monthly and also for special events which have included field trips, retreats and lock-ins. All events are open to parents as well. At a recent meeting, the youth devised a mission statement to guide them in their ministry.

PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH
Acolytes are young adults 10-18 years of age and include the Crucifer and Torch Bearers. Responsibilities include serving at the altar, leading the gospel procession, receiving the alms from the ushers and receiving the bread and wine.
The choir is open to students of grade 9 through adults. The choir provides special music for the 10:00 service and special services throughout the year. Singing includes a wide range of repertoire from the traditional to contemporary. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings September through May from 7:00 - 8:30. All who sing are welcome and encouraged to join.
"The mission of the Southeast Mission Area (SEMA) Youth Ministry is to help to relieve poverty and prejudice in the local community, spiritual growth of its members so to enable them to become mature disciples of Jesus Christ and to develop a sense of fellowship, love and mutual concern.
At SEMA Youth/Young Adult ministries we will provide a safe place, regardless of age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, religious affiliation or non affiliation, with programs aimed at companionship and spiritual growth through our common questions, open discussions and prayer."
Since no greater earthly love exists than that of a parent for their child, we encourage you to engage our youth leaders in conversation, attend a couple Sunday School classes, or speak with Father Jeff on how to best get your youth involved. Help us to help your family to better experience the fellowship of Christ's love in these critical formative years.
