FROM THE BISHOP'S OFFICE

I love the Episcopal Church, and I love the Diocese of Ohio. I have every confidence that you will find with us a spiritual home and worthy companions in serving all of God's beloved.

Together, we are building on two centuries of our vocation to be the body of Christ as Episcopalians in northern Ohio. In this church all are welcome - no exceptions - to love God, love our neighbors, and change the world.

I look forward to knowing you and serving at your side.

Gratefully,

The Right Reverend Mark Hollingsworth, Jr.
Eleventh Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio

Southeast Mission Area of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio

The Episcopal Diocese of Ohio is divided into several smaller geographical units known as Mission Areas. Christ Church is part of the Southeast Mission Area which is bounded by Warren to the north, Boardman in the east, and East Liverpool to the south. In addition to the afore mentioned cities, the Southeast Mission Area (SEMA) also includes Episcopal churches in Niles and Steubenville.

Mission Areas are headed by a Dean, who is a clergy member appointed by the Bishop to act on his behalf in matters of day to day governance of that Area. The Dean works closely with the Bishop in introducing new diocesan initiatives and provides feedback from the Mission Area church leaders to the Office of the Bishop. Christ Church%u2019s own Father Jeff Baker is the current appointed Dean for the SEMA.
